Educational Model
Rootland was born with the idea of offering a high-quality and cutting-edge educational service. Our Educational Model was designed based on the core philosophy that characterizes and supports each action we undertake, grounded in its foundational principles and purpose. It is a model of educational excellence and innovation aimed at transforming education to positively impact a global community.
Through this model, Rootland seeks to develop students who are well-rounded, independent, and reflective, where teachers understand, guide, reassess, and transform actions so that students can develop critical thinking and acquire tools that will allow them to take charge of their lives in a conscious and free manner in the future.
Its objective is to make learning a means of personal growth, where the student accepts responsibility and makes choices to equip them to design and achieve their personal life projects.
The model consists of six dimensions that define how, through Personalized Education as its theoretical foundation, and based on the socio-constructivist paradigm and advanced techno-pedagogical trends, we develop and realize the profiles of our learning community. A community where relationships are built through inquiry-based learning as the methodology we employ, complemented by curricular programs with international standards.
Innovation
and Technology
The pillar of Innovation and Technology is considered the positive catalyst of the creative process, driving solutions to the 21st-century challenges of both the local and global community. Our model, 'Rootland Innovators,' has evolved through versions 2.0, 3.0, and is now in the next phase: InnoVa. This evolution has been achieved not only through adapting to new educational needs but also through transformation, towards the new era in education—the Education of the Future.
Well-being
Culture
From the pillar of Environmental Culture and Well-being, we foster a shared responsibility to initiate actions—driven by each community member’s agency—toward positive-impact changes that promote the care and well-being of individuals, communities, and the planet.
Multilingualism
English as a Second Language of Instruction (Language B)
Bilingualism enables the use of two languages in an equivalent and balanced way for communication and facilitates understanding of each language's cultural implications. Rootland's English learning curriculum is based on three fundamental principles: "learning the language, learning through the language, and learning about the language."
The program begins in the early stages of our students' development, immersing them in the language through a context and environment that, from the earliest grades, promotes exposure to both spoken and written language.
Additionally, as an institution, we seek certification of language acquisition through established international standards.
French (Language C)
Learning a third language, starting from the Pre-First grade, specifically French, facilitates the development of cognitive and communication skills as well as broadens the students' cultural repertoire.
The International Baccalaureate Organization is a community of schools, educators, families, and students worldwide who share the mission of developing the attributes, values, skills, and knowledge needed to create a better and more peaceful world.
The IBO offers four interconnected yet independent programs: the Diploma Program (DP), created in 1968 to provide an internationally recognized university preparatory education; the Middle Years Program (MYP) in 1994; the Primary Years Program (PYP) in 1997; and the Career-related Program (CP) in 2012.
